The Jetspeed FT880 is a more affordable option for recreational players who are still looking for a low-profile look, good flexibility in their gear, and high-level protection. These shoulder pads feature dual-layer front construction, JDP design caps, a vented front base, and additional coverage in both the front panel and clavicle areas.
Construction
The FT880 shoulder pads are constructed with dual-layer front construction with PE foam. The low-profile design provides an extra layer of protection while providing improved flexibility that won’t slow down the competitive player.
Shoulder Caps & Protection
The FT880 shoulder pads use JDP shoulder caps, which are molded to fit snugly over the shoulders while still offering max protection at a low weight and profile.
Sternum Protection
The pads have a dual-layer front construction coupled with PE foam and an anatomical molded PE plastic sternum, which allows the gear to have a low-profile design and reliable protection. The vented front base and PE foam are perforated for good ventilation, keeping you cool while you play.
Spine Protection
The FT880 is covered with molded PE to offer a good combination of flexibility and protection in the back area. It has been anatomically molded, meaning that it is designed to fit over your back naturally.
Bicep Protection
The biceps are covered with PE molded caps, similar to the spine, for pro-level protection and comfort. They also include length adjustments to get you the perfect custom fit.
Liner
CCM added a sublimated liner along the pads to keep players cool and comfortable while they play. The high quality comfort liner with stretch feel front panels help players move freely and keep the gear lightweight while on the ice.
Abdominal Protection Piece
Along the front of the shoulder pads, CCM implemented an extended coverage front panel to provide an extra level of coverage for competitive players.
