CCM continues to expand their FT8 protective line by adding the FT880 hockey shin guards. The Jetspeed FT8 gear puts emphasis on breathability and mobility, which means much of the new tech found in the gear will be light, discreet, and designed to keep you cool. The FT880 shin guards are designed to offer solid protection at a more affordable price point.
Construction
The FT880 shin guards feature a lightweight construction with a built-in ventilation system. It features multiple ventilation ports in the shin cap and a single ventilation port in the shin liner to provide extra airflow with every stride.
Shin Protection
The anatomical geometry has been optimized to provide maximum comfort and support. In addition, a strap groove has been added to ensure a secure fit. The shin cap has been designed to meet competitive standards, even at the recreational level, and is lined with PE foam liner for added protection. This combination of features ensures that you can perform at your best while still keeping your shins safe.
Knee Cap & Protection
The JDP kneecap is anatomically designed to disperse impact force away from the knee joint, which can help protect the knee from potential injury. Additionally, the inner liner of the shin guard is a removable PE foam liner, making it a great choice for players who want to protect their knees while staying comfortable during play. The protective comfort donut also wraps around the knee, keeping it in place and making sure it is protected from impacts.
Calf Protection
The floating calf guard utilizes compress-molded mid-density foam to provide high-level protection against impacts. Additionally, lightweight materials are used to ensure maximum protection without sacrificing mobility.
Liner
The sublimated liner in the CCM Jetspeed FT880 shin guards is designed to keep your shins dry and comfortable even during intense gameplay. The liner is not only fully removable but also adjustable, allowing you to customize the fit to your liking, and it includes a knee hole with ventilation port in the shin area.
Strapping
The shin guards feature a low profile lock strap paired with a comfort cushion. They also feature a length-adjustable calf strap to provide players with a snug and extra-comfortable fit that's customizable for all calf sizes.
