Stick Profile
The XF Ghost boasts a pro mid kickpoint, which is the number one demanded mid kick construction made for an effortless release. Mid kick is a solid option for players who often find themselves doing just a bit of everything during the game. The XF Ghost is ideal for those who want both big shots and a reliable release. Mid kick is made to be versatile in all aspects on the ice.
Shaft Construction
CCM designed this stick with a “T” geometry. That means this stick has a square-shaped design that provides players with a more traditional feel that gives them great grip and control. This design is heavily demanded at the pro level, but is also perfect for all players who are looking for a great feel in their stick.
Additionally, CCM has included Skeleton+ taper technology. This manufactured technology is found in the taper area which provides better reliability in key moments of the game. This stick also features Sigma ST2X Spread Tow, the improved sigmatex material has been added to the blade and shaft for greater and consistent material performance.
Blade Construction
The XF Ghost features a pro stiff blade. This pro-inspired blade construction is designed for the best shooting performance when paired with the pro mid kick point, adding to an overall stiffer flex profile.
Grip
Along the shaft, CCM has added a pro grip finishing. This grip brings forward the most requested grip texture at the retail level. The new textured raised grip is uniquely offered to be the best for players, providing reliable stick feel paired with the “T” shaft geometry.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The CCM Tacks XF Ghost Junior Hockey Stick comes in the following blade patterns: P28 + ¼, P29 + ¼, P90TM. A new feature CCM has debuted is the + ¼ height on the blades, it is designed to offer benefits of a taller blade without compromising on weight or balance.
P29 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
P28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.
P90TM takes elements from both the P29 and P28, but it is just a bit taller.
